What are the main sub-genres of Hardcore? Metalcore (Hardcore with a Metal influence) and Deathcore (Hardcore with a Death Metal influence). Sounds great, what are some bands I can check out to get a taste of it? Greeley Estates and Oceana (Hardcore), Sea of Treachery and Bring Me The Horizon (Metalcore) and Suicide Silence and Carnifex (Deathcore) ===== Album of the Month: Thy Art Is Murder - Infinite Death (2008) Band of the Month: Coming soon! </div>

Screamo is not emo music, emo music doesn't even ------ing exist it's an imaginary genre essentially. (The modern definition of emo music). And the genre sucking is purely your opinion, and really not necessary at all to the thread so ehm... Shoo. Not really my genre, but, looks like a good list, know a few of them. Good to see you've avoided fake-crap like Slipknot etc. (which a strangely large majority of people would have included)
I wouldn't really call any of the above hardcore. Also, hardcore is NOT screamo or what most people call hardcore. Real hardcore is Suicidal Tendencies, Samhain, D.R.I, etc.
I thought Hardcore was the music that was around before Jungle was created / evolved from it.. i.e. http://www.clanstars.net/djprof/?dir=Scott...mber%202008.mp3 ^^ Hardcore mix set ^^
