How Do I Make A Game Server

    I would like to make a game server at my house for fun. This will not be connected to the internet at all. The point of this is to let my kids play multiple games together. I dont want to connect via tcp/ip=lan I want my very own game server I can connect to.....

    PLease give full details. Thank you.

    A LAN is pretty much exactly what you just described. All actual SERVERS are connected to the internet.

    Well if you have another computer, you can use that as a server. Best way to do it is through LAN. Only way too I believe.

    for LAN use theres no real need to use anything other than a client side listen server

    I am working on getting Hellgate london on a offline network. Basicaly I am going to edit everything to make it think it is talking to the game site. I Plan on making a site for every thing the game reads for as far as connecting to a server. My goal is to have it think it is online so I can have my friends play with me in my at home network.. There are alot more games as well but this is my focus atm.

    Yes I know this will be very hard.

    official game server emulation is kinda illegal...

    I do not plan on being on the net or distribute anything. I want to be able to play certain games at home off of the internet.

    Depends. For instance, having a L2J server is not illegal to run. But using the actuall Lineage 2 client to play on the server is illegal, but since you're playing on LAN I really don't see it as a problem
