I have a Turtle Beach X3, it works really well. ;)
Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

You can really hear footsteps in CoD 4. :D

they work well, I've owned two.

they have proprietary amps which are required to use them... the amp dies after 6-10 months.

They're good for the price. But if you have the money, go for Trittons or the Astro A40s. (Assuming this is for Xbox 360)

Id reccomend Sennheiser headsets - superb quality for the price. They never break unless you break them :)

I've head that the headband breaks on the HD280s if you have a large head. My head is small... not worried. own use and abuse a pair of HD280s FYI...
