I think it's about time that we active members of GR did something about the Marketplace and the Credits flow. I was wondering if we could possibly start making shops to sell some random stuff like the common avatars, signatures, etc.. I can do good stuff in Cinema 4D and am sure that people will buy from me. Just like me, perhaps you could start your very own tutorial writing shop or something likewise. This might start the flow of credits once again and will help people who sell credits to sell them quicker and eventually might help us to retain the quality and value of the GR credits once again.

All it needs is your active and dedicated support, seriously people think about it. It could create some fun around as well. If you would like to add something to this IDEA, please feel free to post it here and for those members you may want to spam in here as well like they do on the rest of the board, please don't. It's a humble request to all fellow members to please stick to the point and post and encourage your fellow members to do so as well. Any cooperation from the GR Management will be highly appreciated, put in your suggestions and give us some ideas on the behalf of your team as well.

You want to bring the shops and services forum back alive? Well I haven't done too much with photoshop in a few years.. I can't help that much. Maybe I can re-open a tutorial writing shop I used to have before, which worked pretty well. I'm in my exams tho, have to wait a while.

Wow! That would be great mate and yes that is what I am talking about, getting the credits to flow again by making the Marketplace more lively and active.

Maybe if an actual member says it, instead of us staff, it will get through :P

I agree, thing is when everyone was selling stuff in auctions people of all sorts of talent were being bought from because thats what they needed but now theres not enough variation so if more people post more stuff to sell all will be k.

    It won't.

Something is going to have to come from the GR Staff to actually revitalize the marketplace, or it won't go anywhere.

I realise thing's happen behind the scene's etc. (Been there :3) but, it's just not happening at the moment. Not sure revitalising the marketplace is going to bring enough activity to the site, just not sure what will.

Ah well, we have some ideas that are being worked on it.
But it's much as you say though Broken, we're not entirely sure on what will boost activity. But the best we can with the things that are planned is to try them out :)

    Mmhm.
I've got to retain that the only way to bring up GRs activity substantially is by making it much more 'Newb' friendly, again though, not sure how to do it.

Still not seeing GR tutorial's popping up on Good-Tutorials and Pixel2Life etc. though they may be being submitted, it's relatively vital. But, the vast majority of GRs older community came here because we were crap at graphics and GR was -the- place to learn. Got to bring that back, somehow.

Tutorials thing will be worked on. Most tut indexing sites only approve tutorials that are available to guest and they don't often accept sig tutorials either.
But we're looking into how to get those things fixed and what to do with it :)
