Just bought a new laptop the other day. I'm absolutely loving it so far!
Things open nearly instantly after i click them.

    I bought an ASUS G50Vt-X5

Has multiple power and performance options. Depending on what you want to do. If you're just typing up a paper, set it on lowest performance and power.
If you're playing a game set all on highest.
I tried playing Crysis on it and it looks freaking insane. Someone recorded a video of how crysis looks on it.
All settings high in Overclock mode 9except shadows/shadders at medium

All setting high (no overclock mode)

    Specs:
Some of my favorite features are lightscribe and the amazing video quality. Screen resolution is 1366x768 and I play 1080i videos on it crystal clear or blu-ray videos.
Also, in the picture above if you look right under the screen there is blue text there. It shows battery level but you can type in whatever you want there which is pretty neat.

That's a neat laptop, but how much did it cost?

And you say you're running Windows 7, but the taskbar is Vista. Off with your head.

Like I said it's a review "someone else wrote."
Nvm, just realized you were referring to the picture. I didn't take it. Just found it on google.

Thanks, I payed $1,200 with a full 2 year warranty from Geek Squad (Best Buy).
I bought the laptop mainly to establish credit for myself. The laptop itself was $899.

Yeah I thought so. It was the most powerful laptop they had for that price. The only difference with more expensive ones was screen size.

^ Like I said in the reply I just posted a googled picture. Here's my screen.

Also battery life is good depending on what setting I use. For example, right now since I'm just surfing the web, checking my adsense, stocks, and updating my website I use the lowest performance and power settings.
When I play games (rarely) I use the highest. I also use the highest performance setting when I am burning and converting stuff.
So it can range from 2 hours to about 4 hours on a full charge.
The battery is actually a 9-cell lithium ion not 6 cell. Just realized I had specs for the wrong model up there. I have the g50v x 5 and it was for the x 1.
Also can change the brightness settings, etc. It has touch sensitive shortcut buttons for quickly changing performance levels which is handy.
I copied those specs for the g50v I think. Mines the g50vt x 5. Which is a more recent version of the model.
I changed the specs up there to what mine really is. Found someone else who reviewed the same model.

    And added more pics, etc.
