Oddly enough, this mentions no modern-day torture tactics.
With the knowledge we have today, you'd think we would have some scarier tactics than these.

I agree. Today, "interrogation methods" today don't sound to be as terrible as these ones. But still, I'm pretty sure the Chinese Water Torture would be pretty crazy. We probably would if we were allowed to actually experiment with such tactics.

These are scary, but if you think about it, if we ever went back to torturing people as a means of interrogation, with todays technology we could inflict MUCH more horrible things. XD Not to be creepy, but it's true!

It is possible for Bamboo to grown through your hands and body, I don't know if that was actually used, but It would be horrible.

This is a normal part of human nature, everyone feels these little "psychopathic" things in the back of their mind. Ie. "I want to hurt that person even though they've done nothing wrong". However, most people have good conscience enough to stop themselves from these temptations and thats what separates psychopaths from the rest. I've done some research on this and yes I too have had these kind of thoughts, all the time, of people I love getting hurt but somewhere in my mind I enjoy it even though I shouldn't. Anyone has the ability to be a psychopath.

As for the torture methods, number one is interesting, however I can think of many worse torture methods than those said. My own personal list would probably start with slow, methodical dissection, and then lead to burning, arms and other ligaments being twisted off (like in Saw III, where the African American guy gets his arms, legs and finally his head SLOWLY twisted off his body) and being completely restricted of movement where certain other things will be done.

Oh and to the guy who said Saw was only a film, I remember reading that many of the contraptions were made fully working, and almost killed one of the actors during one of the films. Don't underestimate Saw simply because its a movie.

I'm sure the things in saw are practical.
However, they are not methods of 'torture.'
I've seen a few movies and the victims have to 'escape' or the devices would 'kill' them not 'torture' them.
If I recall correctly from one of them a head clamp was put on one of the victims with screws on the inside and when the device was triggered it shut closed.
I'm pretty sure that would result in instant death rather then hours of torture. I don't believe a single device used in saw could be a form of torture.
When the guy cut his leg off with a saw it could be argued as a method of torture; but seeing as how it was self inflicting I'd think otherwise.

One device they are missing from there is the 'pear of anguish.'
Which is worse than most of the ones they have.

There's also the Brazen Bul that started in Athens. One of the methods in that article is derived from this.
    http://www.perillos.com/brazenbull.html

And unfortunately they missed possibly the most painful torture method of ALL TIME. Which is 'The Rack.'
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rack_(torture)
Tendons would snap, bones would break, and muscle would tear.
