Personally I do like it

Just I think you need to make a few improvements to like it your self
your effects are a little dull coming off of the render, try brighting them.

just duplicate the layers and do an overlay, colordodge or something to
bring them out a bit more, also maybe add something more into the background?

Not sure about the background idea but you never know how things will look till you try
