pwnzor, it's too overdone. You want a high performance, luxury car with every gadget installed and trim made from whalebone, you buy European. I love Japanese cars, mainly because they epitomize performance cars for your average earner. It's not about replacing every part in there until it trades blows with a Lambourghini, it's about taking a relatively cheap (or very cheap) car, tweaking it how you want, making it perform how you want, and at the end of the day having enough change in your pocket to fill it with petrol.
I want a lancer that can compete with a Lambourghini...money is no issue. What now? lol That car was done over 2 years or so. Some people like the rice burners more than the European cars, myself included haha. Although if offered a 500,000$ car I would have to accept straight away.
An E36 would kill an Evo. And if you really wanted to make things "equal" and have a more up to date M3 face the latest Evo, an E90 would absolutely destroy an Evo X. But that's just me, and I'm a bit bias because I'm a German car fan boy.
I love my automobile, its and old classic, check it out yo Its an 1973 plymouth satellite with an 318 engine. My uncle found it for me in a junkyard outside of jackson on 49 heading towards flora. Paid $400 bucks for it!!! Only thing I had to do for it once I got it was buy an water pump, fuel pump, belts, hoses and its been running fine since then(kind of hard to believe huh). I also added the rims, tires and then took it to the shop to add some cherry bomb mufflers to it. Its not to good on gas but I still like it alot. I got some 12 inch Punch 2's with an punch 1000 pushing them that I'm gonna put in them once I get find someone to put my radio in it, once that's done then I'm gonna have to find someone to paint it for me, thinking of going with a blue that will match the inside of the car.
i may get this http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/cto/1210730656.html or maybe an s4, but s4's are just as about expensive to maintain, if not even more expensive
