    FINAL VERDICT

If you own a PS3 then you should at the very least rent Killzone 2, it's a great jump forward in the series as well as for FPS games in general. The story advances and I for one, am curious to see where Guerrilla will take the series with the next installment, if there is one. It's not so much revolutionizing the genre as it is fine-tuning it.

Game played to completion, finished the campaign up to the Veteran difficulty.
Time spent in game: 14 hours on the campaign, 21 hours in Warzone.

CoD4? I have yet to see someone that couldn't pick that up and be at the least decent at it :P.

What I meant by that demerit was that you can't just pick it up at any given time and be as good as you previously were. This is to a larger extent than most other games. It's possible that it was just me, but I noticed a huge drop in my skill factor after even just a few days :P. And I know this wasn't due to others getting better because after an hour or two I got back into it and did just as well as I had :P.

I agree with all you said. and about the it takes skills to shoot I was having a lil bit of trouble converting from like 360 controller to the ps3 in a fps game style. In reality killzone reminded me exactly of gears like almost story wise etc and with the different characters. I love the interactive part of like to lower bridges and to plant the charges where you have to move the controller reminded me like I was playing my wii for a bit lol. overall Its a fun game. like u said. Its not like a fable2 for me tho where I'll spend all night beating it. Killzone2 is better in small amounts. :P

oh side note. It looks great on a 50+ inch HD tv and the gun sounds you are talking about go great with surround sound. Puts you straight into the heart of the scenes :) they did a wonderful job on the visual and audio aspects of the game.
