D'awwww! Thanks, Shoe! I'd nominate, but I don't think it's right for me to run this and nominate things, too. =/
Normally with award ceremonies like this, we would vote on people who have achieved nomination based on what they did up to 2009. i.e, you perform well in 2008, therefore you are up for an award come 2009. The date refers to the year of the ceremony, not the year of achievement. That way you aren't limited to awards which take place in said year.
The point of this topic is to award achievements in this year (bar the lifetime achievement award), so it's correctly titled and its intention is clear. Don't stifle the awards, inverse. You're already on my -----list in My Topic. They'll be awarded in 2010, simply because ... well 2009 has to finish up first.
