Reserection, learn to comment politely or your future won't be too bright.

Everyone else, don't start arguments with him, let the staff take care of it, we have suspend-guns and ban-hammers ^_^

Unless you're making websites for people who can't see on a computer screen, you're making the layout elements way too large. If you look at modern forum layouts everything is slick and small sized.

How can you even begin to think that he hasn't?

Reserection I've seen your work, it's pretty good man.

As for you Prime. The design is way over saturated. The blues and reds over the blacks, the giant gradients, your submenu is just so basic and easy. Typical rectangular maintitle, titemedium, then your table. Blahhh.

There is also nothing original. Everything falls on the page the same way any other basic forum layout does. Not saying it has to be extremely in depth so you're failtard users can't understand it, but get some originality first, then start designing.

    We're all sigmakers on GR?
If we all took the same 25 minutes to design a layout like that, we'd all be Web Designers then? Bull----. I can do that easily, and I have far better works, and I still don't consider myself a Web Designer, I have lots to learn, so do you, take constructive criticism seriously. If you don't ---- like this starts to happen in your threads.

lol since when does making templates in photoshop and slicing them and "saving for web" make you a web designer? that's the easy part, the hard part is actually developing anything other than a simple skin change for a CMS.

I've designed my Highschool's website for a credit, and 50 hours of community service.

At my school its 30 credits to graduate, and it was my last semester before grad, and I had 25, I needed 5, in a 4 course semester. So I got the credit from that as homework, and graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

I've designed for many clients. Like clans for numerous games, clans died, sites gone, but still fun. And like, other graduates from High School needed portfolio's..simple requests, paying bout 200-500 dollars. I've designed for a store that my friend is opening. He lives in a town outside my city where he is really popular, and knows a LOT of gamers, but there's no game stores, so he opened one and asked for a design. He's yet to open the site yet though.

I think that's enough to classify myself as a Website Designer?

I do IPB skins/layouts too, simple work, even with a lot originality. Doesn't make you a Web Designer at all.

You just made your self sound dumb, you try making a web site to suit the clients needs perfectly, it doesn't take a few hours, it takes days sometimes months to get it right, the client can have a developer, but what makes more money? a quality design from a designer with 2.5 years of experience can get you $750 each template, un coded, even more go to www.99designs.com not many there ask for coding they just ask for the psd, and web designers don't slice, the developers do it, ALSO there's a difference between "Designers and developers" look into it will you, I am a designer not a developer, ONE who makes money from it is officially a "Web Designer"

Research before you make pointless post's like that. OH also, go ask a developer what is harder, designing or coding and ask a designer whats harder, its two different things, one who does both is up to them, a developer will say designing and a designer will say developing.
