We don't have too many rules! We need more! MORE!

Okay okay, we'll leave this to common sense for now. We'll see how many people have common sense :P

"There is no size limit. But it's harder to win a 1st prize when it's an extreme large picture where we have to scroll up and down and horizontally every time to actually take a good look at the picture."

So because someone has a sh1tty monitor, or because you can't tell it's a good photograph from a scaled version, we lose? xD
Photographs are not about the immense detail, they're about technique, knowing when something can look good. An example would be EE's this week, he saw an electrical tower, which usually looks pretty boring, sat underneath it, looked up and found great perspective and leading lines. Not to sound all c0cky, but I saw a little pu5sywillow thing, and the sun behind it, and lied down just to get the detail in it from the sun being behind it.

Judge a photograph by technique. Please.

That's what they're doing. I'll be honest: I browse photography on deviantART, sometimes for hours. I hate it when I see a photo that's full size unless it's a stock. They're just asking that you show them the optimal size, not something that's a foot tall. They're not going to want to resize it since that takes time, and browsers are horrible at resizing so they won't go that route either. And if I submitted the full size of any of my photos, they'd have less impact, since you can't see the entire photo at once.

votings happens among the staff members. A topic is made in which they can vote.
I can't control how quick they will cast their vote. But I'm not closing it with only three votes or something, I need a representable number of staff to vote before it gets closed.

Chances are the new comp will start tonight though, not sure yet.

Impatient much? Photo contest is a small part of the site and hardly priority on every staff member's mind. You don't even qualify anyway.

EDIT: Wait why do you have two accounts?

Thank you Penguin, and EE, it seems someone is messing with my other account, I can't log in half the time. I'll have to try something else other than clearing my cache, I'll try to resend a password.

Had a busy day today so haven't had the time yet to start out a new competition.
Not to worry though, tomorrow the winners and the new comp will be launched ;)

I hope it will be fixed tomorrow so I can finally post the outcome to the comp and start the new one!
