Yes, well 1-2 months ago, I think I had encountered some trojan that I fixed right after. But the problem is, for the longest time some sites, that I thought incidentally went down, were actually active for the whole time, it's just I am not able to access them.
    - I got XP serivce pack 2
    - I tried using the winsock netsh utlity
    - I did the ipconfig flushdns
    - I've deleted browsing history
    - Scanned my computer for additional malware or spyware of any sort
    - I unplugged modem and router, plugged them back in no sucess.
-When I ping them from cmd, theres no response.
    - I am not able to uninstall TCP/IP so I did the mircosoft website, where it downloads a guided tour and bascially refreshes your TCP/IP as new
    - So in the end, I thought it had something to do with my hosts file, because those were the only 2 sites I could not access. I even opened up my hosts file in notepad, but those sites were not listed there.

If anyone has had this problem or, can tell me what I can do to fix it, I'd really appreciate it.
I know it's just 2 sites but it still bothers me, that I should be able to open them as well.

Could always attempt a trace route to see where the sites are going dead at and see if those have something in common as well.

What sites are these specifically? Maybe you could be banned from them if they are forums or something.

No I'm not banned for them, I'm certain about that. the traceroute,
alright basically the 11th hop request timed out, along with 14 all the way till 30, all timed out.
The thing is, I don't really know what this means so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with this information

A trace route shows you how you route to a specific website, so it gives the ip associated with it to diagnose where the issues begin occuring.

    Nope, all turned off.

And, what do I actually do with the ip that is causing problems?
Also, if it help's I used to be able to go on these sites, so they were working for me before.

Btw all the other sites of the traceroute Ip's seem to be working for me
except, the last hop that works (13 ) 124.158.228.18
That ip does not work for me, and after every hop from 13 it is request time out
