My problem is I can't see the taskbar, and the desktop icons. I got on the internet by going to windows task manager. So what is the problem?? Is it a virus infection/do I need to use my spydoctor spyware??\

O yeah i have Windows XP. I restarted and it still didn't work and explorer.exe is running.

    Uhh No!
Try what the guy suggested. Right click the desktop and also try and drag the taskbar at the bottom of the screen up.

Reminds me of a trick I was gonna play on someone.. Take a screenshot of their background, and then make it the desktop wallpaper and delete all the icons/start menu. :)

As far as helping you goes.. Sounds like you have a major problem on your hands, or like they said above.. Check and see if your taskbar is off the bottom of your screen, and arrange your icons. (Didn't know you could drag icons off the screen tho).

Ok it's fixed. For some odd reason i couldn't right the arrange icons desktop. I did a virus scan and nothing was infected. It was the explorer.exe I had to end it and then run it again.
