Nice entries.

(I really think people should be able to vote on these. After going through the archives I believe the staff has no idea how choose the winners correctly. They have also shown a pattern of bias towards certain people even though there were overall better compositions of others.)

Z.A.R. The official crew will be granted the right to vote as well. Besides, just because your opinion differs from the staffs doesn't make them wrong. Don't you think that's a bit conceited?

 

When there is a pattern of bias in the winners the people that are being conceited are the judges, not me for pointing it out. I never have complained about if I won or not (I have only entered in 1 or 2 of the competitions), that doesn't matter, what matters is you guys have a pattern of voter bias that needs to be addressed. Maybe a change up in the crew or an open vote to the community, and to randomly do this every month, so that the site can get out of this pattern.

 

There's absolutely no bias towards anyone in my opinion. I've won plenty of these and the staff doesn't really like me, same thing with others who've won.

Yea but you're skill can't be ignored. There are a couple of really nice entries that usually just get put aside and someone that's more well known gets the vote. I don't completely agree with Z.A.R but I can see he has a point.

 

not at all lol, take me from example .. there is probably no one else who hates neuron more than me, but if i have to be honest i do like his work .. so if i think he should get my vote then he does, has nothing to do with the person who makes it

and another thing, the people who are well known. How do you think they got well known in the first place, make good graphics right ?
then offcourse it's obvious they get the votes most of the time but it has nothing to do with the person who makes is

I'm not denying any of that but you completely missed my point. I said that I've seen entries that are definitely better then some of the more well-known artists and yet they well-known artists are the ones who place because of their name not because of their work.

 

No, when there is a trend in the winners it is because they are making better entries. Of course, styles drop in and out of popularity, but the area that that has the most effect from and on is the general community, which is why, in my opinion, the staff, being a small, unchanging group of feelings towards popularity, is the best set of voters. What you are arguing is your bias against the "bias" of a group of people, but the point of having multiple people vote is that it isn't one bias, its each individuals different view on artistic quality. So I say again, no. You are lucky enough to see us allow the official crew to join in the voting.
