I find personally that aside from text(thats my own personal problem) getting background is the hardest aspect of a signature. I think a great a way of making a interesting background that flows with the render is simply make duplicates until it fills up the canvas apply image duplicate it a couple times. Then play around with some filters and brushes and blend modes untill you get something nice. ALOT of my signatures are just the image duplicated ALOT of times then filters applied. As long as your not using the same technique it almost always comes out different every time. Thats about the best I can say for coming up with backgrounds. I don't really like traditional step by step processes. Edit: I forgot to CnC my bad Although simple doesn't really suit my fancy I have to say I like this more than usual. Maybe try some splatter clipping masks to give a little more texture to it or some other kind of brush technique.
Okay, had some other stuff to deal with now I finally had some time to spare. This is V2: V3 slightly changed and different text:
V3 is by far the best one. The text suits the tag much better. The render itself still seems to stand out too much from the rest of it though. Try using some smudge techniques and/or filters/brushing to give it more depth. Its not looking bad so far, just a bit unfinished.
V3, but remove the text. Add in some fire effects around her, would look hawt. And you know what they say about verts.. Once you make one you don't go back.
Could you recommend me some specific techniques ? Actually I got no clue how to do any Fire effects....Maybe There's a tut on this site...I'll go check the section out later. I'm also gonna look at the picture without any text, since I've been very uneasy with the texts in both version too. It might look better without it. Thanks for the input anyway guys,it's appreciated.
Hmm, maybe duplicate the layer a few times and smudge them outwards, giving each layer a different opacity/layer style.. Mess around with the feathering and stuff. Also try using some brushes to brush around the render for added blending, and also have a play with the lighting and stuff. Simply put, think of Photoshop as a tool that comes with no instructions. The best way to learn is by exploring it and just seeing what looks good
Maybe I'm not that creative, but I just don't have ideas like these on my own....well maybe it'll come eventually I'm gonna try what you suggested later on. Thanks again.
Trust me the more you create sigs the more the imagination will come, everything will fall into place in time, btw v3 is great so keep it up!
You can add fire by adding in an image with fire and setting to screen.. You could get a fire pack from Resurgee on DA.
