to clear some things up; unfortunatly, she voided most of her natural rights when she committed the crime she got incarcerated for (assuming she is guilty) and she furthermore voided most of the rest of her rights when she kicked her shoe at the cop. When it comes down to it, the police showed a pretty aggressive use of force, but in the end it was the womans fault for resisting arrest and "attempted assault" at the officer. If this was a hobo or a black guy, the cops would have done the same. its time that women realize that they are indeed equal to men, and that includes the fact that they are subject to equal punishment for equal crimes. On your first point, in civilized society today Americans are indeed special in the fact that the U.S. Constitution protects only them from dangers to their life, personal liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The rights are not rights that are granted to all humans in the world, so they are not natural in an earthly sence, but rather natural meaning that they are the fundamental basic rights granted to every American citizen. Basically, because our society is so complex and because the legal system has so many parts to it there needs to be some kind of "natural", fundamental protection given to protect against the abuse of such a system. On your second point, humans are, in the most part, more humane than other animals. You give an example of a dog, but in reality a wild dog would probably not hesitate to attack and kill another wild dog or another wild dogs puppies. Lions kill other lion cubs, water buffalo stampede lion cubs and trample them to death, the world is, in general, a very violent place...alot of house pets are so calm only because humans raised them to be that way. We kill for personal enjoyment or personal motives which is the major separator between us and alot of other animals though who kill only for saftey or nutrition. About the video, I would definitely agree that, as long as the women did not pose a threat greater than that seen in the video, the police did not use good discretion when handling the booking...but you have to give them credit for the job that they do, the things that they see, and the dangers that they face on a day to day basis. People don't respect all the things that police officers do, and most people who hate them are people who break the law on a daily basis and who are in fear of getting caught. I agree that some cops abuse their power, but for the most part they are useful and make our world a much safer and more organized place
I'm not talking about Americans. I'm talking about society in general. If society was as civilized as he had claimed it was we wouldn't need those natural rights that he mentioned. That was the whole point. I don't care if America is the only country that has these natural rights. It's still a load of ----. We wouldn't need a legal system if our society was as perfect as we believe it to be. I'm talking about a Utopia of sorts which is why this is probably so hard for you guys to grasp. We're not entitled to anything, we just think we are. As for your second point, you just supported my statement. I never said a wild dog wouldn't attack if it was in danger, but normally you don't see a wild dog or animal attack one of it's own unprovoked. Unlike humans who find it a "sport," a goddamn ------ing sport to physically harm another human being.
Mission accomplished. And it's not really derailed, the train already stopped at the station after I hit the nail on the head with my comment edit: I've been drinking.
She's not a woman. She's a man, baby! (She's a girl and she's awfully stupid) But that's not important. Didn't you have diamond membership? Where'd that go?
