Bram Stoker's Dracula is best watched in movie form imo, I didn't care for the book much. Interview with a vampire is a great film adaptation but also quite good in book form.
Oh, forgot, for the record pale doesn't suggest lack of exercise. Pale suggests lack of pigmentation/melanin more than anything. For instance I am of Nordic skin. This means that I am a rank 1 or possibly 2 of 6 in terms of skin color, not an albino, but pale enough in the way that I can't tan. I maintain light pigmentation, and I burn, and my skin tans for about... 24 hours after a burn heals and then its back to being nearly complete white. There are suggestions of hair pigmentation and eye pigmentation associated with the level but that is not part of my gene pool. Technically others like me have blonde or very light brown / red, but my hair is a dark brown / blonde and my eye color changes between blue, green, brown, and hazel. I am outside... not often, but frequently enough to get burned and used to work outside as a landscaper / construction worker / cart pusher for upwards of 8 hours a day and I am as pale now as I was the day I started with the exception of some very bad 2nd degree burns I got even through sunscreen.
Sister is obsessed with these books, has her own site/podcast/forums. I read them under pressure from her, and came out thinking what the hell was that. I doubt the host will be much different, as her writing style probably won't change
For the people who criticize repetition: It is a technique used to imbed something into the audience's (Reader, listener etc) mind. It's use alot in speeches and it is a good technique. While I haven't read her stories and can't say if she is using it in this context, I'm willing to bet she is using it like that.
He adlibbed that. And there's a literary term for that... which escapes me at the moment. But I think they're talking more about the repititon of concepts, not a stylistic choice. Too much of anything is poor writing, anyways.
Repitition used in moderation is fine. Repetition used on EVERY FUCKING CONCEPT OF AN ENTIRE BOOK to just increase its size 5 times over because it is a short as hell book without RESTATING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER is not.
Nice gravedigging. But since it's already done. Dem is definitely on point about her. I've read the books and I personally think that she would've been much better off focusing more on the more interesting characters instead of Bella and Edward. They're both so ------ing stupid.
