Yeah, when my guild was attempting 3D our two biggest problems were that our pally tank was having problems picking up adds, or our DK Sarth tank wasn't dying to Sarth due to not calling out pain supressions etc. Once we got it though, we one shotted it every week : \
Why in god's name did you try to use a paladin tank? Large health pools are the single most important stat for a tank on that fight, a single breath can take 35k+ damage off of you. DKs and Druid tanks are the only tanks that should be used on that fight, blood DKs make the fight ezpz for a prepared group.
As Dem said, its almost always the tank, which I don't criticize because I don't tank so its not my place to talk ----. Given our tanks do 110% perfect, We still have some sub 3k DPS. My guild usually runs a bit short 20-21 people and we refuse to PuG because of the quality of the average player on my server. We've picked up a couple more recruits since our last attempt, so hopefully we'll be able to put a full 25 into Sarth+3D this week and get it done.
The primary thing about sarth 3d vs sarth 2d is the amount of time you have to down Twilight Dragons before the next one shows up. For us, we killed the first twilight dragon as the second one entered, then we entered the twilight portal and left the second ones acolyte alive (but at like 5% life) then killed the #3 acolyte then killed the #2 acolyte and went back to the surface. Since you now have fire / shadow immunity when coming out of the portal it makes the fight a hundred times easier without the risk of communication errors. If your tank and healers can take care of Sarth 2D, then it becomes the DPS' job to not slack on Sarth 3D. The adds almost always get stronger due to lava waves, you have more twilight portals to worry about, when you enter the twilight realm you and everyone else takes 1k+ damage per second. You really want a *lot* of single target burst and most of the classes to have some form of AoE to further be able to knock down adds quicker.

[/b][/quote] When I did it, no one else was doing it. I mean Sarth 3D =P, remember I was in one of the top guilds in the world. Nowadays I believe they do 2 drakes then drop into portals, but at that tme we had the most success just entering portals after we killed the first drake. It made the battle longer but it was consistent, which is what matters when you are progressing in content. BTW: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...den&n=Mtlol He pushes 3200-3300 DPS in his tank gear as a MT, so there is no reason your dps shouldn't be pushing a minimum of 4-4.5k if they are remotely competent. Hell, unbuffed in Acherus against a boss dummy I push 4300 *before* raid debuffs and buffs. I was at 4,460 in combat, the disease ticks afterwards dropped my dps. That is on the PTR btw, and that is currently the highest recorded DW dps on a test dummy produced by a DK.
Didn't happen, we /ragequit and ended up doing 1D. Revealed a lot about the guild tonight though, the number of people slacking on DPS and the number of people who CAN'T AVOID A ------ING FIRE WALL.
Dimentia - What was the date you guys got your 3D kill? BTW what's your armory link ;0 Broken - Nobody should be getting hit by lava walls. 3D is very much dependent on player presence, and if you go down one person, it really does gimp you. If people are too retarded to dodge a gigantic orange wall then they should be subbed out.

I know, its easy, but the idiots of GR can't figure it out who would want to stalk me. I don't like KJ, I prefer Blackrock and Mannoroth, outside the lag. BTW, that is just one of them, I have 2 highly rated DKs, try to find the other one =P That one only has 2pc T7, not even 7.5.
