Okay , so This is what happens, I am doing my stuff , playing wow, and i hit alt -tab , and then it happens, the screen freezes, it sucks,i cannot alt tab, nothing pops up , same with windows key, i can't type, i cant move in wow, IT IS TERRIBLE , this happens VERY often almost always when I'm playing wow and alt tabbing, mostly when I'm loading something in wow , like a zone, if i try to alt tab just as its loading or I already have, boom it does this crap, especially if I'm simultaneously loading a you tube video and something in wow , that's like a 99% chance of it happening , its so hard to explain what I mean, basically all things on the screen stop but i CAN move my cursor and if music was playing or if a you tube video was on it will continue, AUDIO ONLY , aw, hell even the progress bar stops ( showing how much of the video / song is left)

    PS- windows vista

    wow- world of warcraft

It's because your computer isn't fast enough to handle it.

Vista is very RAM dependent, and so is WoW. How much RAM do you have? What settings are you running WoW on? Alt tabbing from WoW, especially when something is loading in WoW is putting a LOT of stress on your RAM.

Two suggestions. Either get more RAM, or I would try playing WoW in a windowed mode. You can select to play in windowed mode, and then check the 'maximized' box. This way, when you just hit Alt (no need to Alt Tab) it should bring up your taskbar etc OVER TOP of WoW.
