    version 1 is the best

version 2 looks very stupid in my humble opinion :P ( color wise )
version 3 is ok, but doesn't have enough contrast

so version 1 is the best in my opinion, it's just low quality
if you could improve that , the rest is ok i geuss
read some tuts and experiment alot with photoshop :)

    keep it up

Thanks for the CnC man. Is it the smoke that's LQ or is the lighten filter high too high?

Congrats man! What exactly do you mean by make it an explosion instead? Could you show me an example?

Thanks DRM. JW, but how do you do your smoke? Smudge and sharpen or another method?
That's a real complement coming from you.

When im doing smoke it really depends what im doing, i have various methods of creating it, i use stocks of clouds, cloud brushes, smoke brushes or normal white small round brush and smudge and blur normally
