    FINAL VERDICT

As you have read, Fallout 3's pros outweigh the cons by a large margin. If you're interested in a great free-roaming, post-apocalyptic RPG then look no further; Fallout 3 is the game for you! The story keeps you tied in for as long as you wish, if you don't want to be tied in then there's pleny of other things to do, whether it be running around shooting nukes at cities, or swimming in radioactive water. The choice is yours! Speaking of choices, you have so much freedom when it comes to choices, you can literally shoot ANYONE in the head at any point in time if that is your will, although if it's the wrong person you'll probably have a few guns shooting you in the head a few seconds later. Fallout 3 does a great job at giving the player the choice, this could mark a new era for gaming if developers decide to follow the great example of Fallout 3.

Game played to completion, finished the core story as well as a few side-missions on a medium-ish setting.

    Nice review.

I would've thought in the negative would be the lack of vehicle. Wahtev.

Hell of a great game, especially with the massive amounts of exploration and the distance view it has.

"If you're a fan of Oblivion you will be a fan of Fallout 3, there's no doubt about that."

Isn't really true, I have plenty of friends who hated Oblivion but loved Fallout and vice versa. It's not Oblivion with guns at all, it's just an open ended RPG and aside from a similar system it's different from Oblivion in it's entirety, particularly combat.

    Edit : Wrong section.

I didn't say if you're a fan of Fallout 3 you'd be a fan of Oblivion :P. I personally hated Oblivion but loved Fallout 3. It doesn't quite work both ways, but I've never heard of someone liking Oblivion and not liking Fallout 3.

I liked the game, but I though it kinda dragged on. I loved TES4:Oblivion, but it was a game that I liked to look at, and running through the high grass was great. This game is kinda like, I don't want to live here, so I don't want to play here. Also, it got kind of annoying being dependent on VATS because your aim out of it is horrible.

I think your aim is horrible..

I've played the game and I'm pretty successful at shooting without vats, mainly from far distances.

Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games. I occasionally play it just for fun, that doesn't happen a lot on single player games. I went through like half the game not realizing you could jump to different locations...

    Great game
