I've taken some time and customized my laptop GUI so it looks pretty darn unique. My question is, other than changing the skin to the start menu, task bar, etc, what other modifications can be made which can further customize Vista?

I'm pretty open minded as to what could be done, so any suggestions and tips are welcome. :)

Cool, ta bud I'll look into those :) Also, any useful desktop applications would also be appreciated, for example I also use a dock to run applications from. Simple things that could help make my life as a nerd easier xD

I'd try looking at some of the stuff Maximum PC talks about in this article. I liked some of the stuff they had but to get full performance and stuff out of everything in my computer for gaming I couldn't run a dock. :(

Is that the dock mod at the top, that shows all your desktop icons like on a mac computer? If so, where did you get it?

Looks like it's either objectDock or RocketDock.

I'm running XP Atm. Would love it if someone can give me a docking application.

Also try downloading Windows Blinds for Vista, it has tons of cool new features. In addition, if you are running on Windows Vista Ultimate, I'd suggest to take a peak at Dreamscenes, movies as Desktop Wallpapers, I know they are fun because my dad uses a 1 minute movie clip for his Desktop Background and it is freaking awesome. :)

Sadly I don't have Vista Ultimate, only Home, so the Dreamscenes is out, but it sounds pretty sweet.
As for WindowBlinds, I've considered it but decided to patch the UI itself and use a modified theme as opposed to Aero since its slightly easier on the resources.
Shaggy, the dock at the top is RocketDock which is by far my favourite mod so far- many many different skins/themes for it, as well as behaviour/performence options etc. Keeps the desktop clean too :)
Thanks for the help so far guys :)
