I do have to say that I rather like the boy one,. Nice flow intersecting the render. Text sucks though. Girl is boring... Text is bad too. You've been told a million times to not use text until you are better... Why keep at it? It doesn't look like you are trying to make it look any better either. Like I said above... Boy tag is pretty tight.
I agree with snake about the text. if your not going to attempt to fix the text i recommend ditching it altogether or getting some new fonts from dafont.com or reducing the opacity to somewhere between 10 - 25. Both tags still need work on the basics, i like the idea with boy the flow i good and the idea of the lighting is better than some of your other attempts. but the colours are awful, they make it seem low quality, the background doesnt fit with the tag. As for Girl. the colours are too monotone, theres no depth to it and the text still sucks. I dont want to cause any offence to you by these tags but as you were making steady progress with your others and then these two arrived goign the wrong direction the criticizing needs to be increased. I still reccomend you read up on a few tuts, im still reading tuts and learning different points. every tut you read, you may not like the style but for every tut there is something you realise. theres small things in tags you dont notice but without them the tag doesnt seem right.
