Ever tried it on somebody? Figure out their lies? Its a hell of fun, especially if your out meeting new people. Impress some , make others feel shocked and insecure. Builds up self steam. But the golden rule is never put nobody down, unless they are dick or douches. Anybody else has this talent?
I do it to everyone I meet. I am that quiet guy who sits back for 3-4 hours learning what I can about people through their actions and then becomes the talkative person you can't shut up. I always absorb people in and judge their personality and place them in a group. I often tell girls I am really good with knowing who they really are when I meet them (it's kind of one of my pick up lines / conversation starters) and girls eat it up when I can characterize them in a few minutes down to really simple things most people miss. Then again, psychology and sociology are two major areas of interest in my life, so it comes with the territory.
Yeah I do it every now and then but I don't speak to just about anyone, I mostly do it when I'm sitting around with friends and someone walks past, I give my guesses on what sort of a person he/she would be. It's good to have some bets on a girl... If ya know what I mean ;~>
As I have an early interest in psychology and sociology, I find myself constantly analyzing others, relating traits to myself, and finding out the possible connections we may possess. Recently I have been focusing on my ex-girlfriend, where more than half of our lives are completely opposite. After hearing the saying "opposites attract," I looked into the reasons we have the connections that we do, and it interested me to the point where I have actually had long phone conversations with her in hopes of finding exact answers. She's taking a psychology class, so it's interesting to hear what she has to say about the matter, and it makes me want to expand the ability I possess, much like dementia.
Yes, I do that. I have no control over it either. I don't decide to think, "what are you really thinking?" I just do. All the time. It's wonderful, I've learned to piece together all the clues of what's really going on. You see their facial expressions, their gestures, their tone/inflexion, how effective their speech is (are they stumbling or anything out of the ordinary?) etc. It is very much about connection, much like Burning Phoenix said. The best feeling is when you call someone out on a lie and they're so ... pigeon-holed that they have to adimt their true feelings. Sometimes they lie more, but that makes the game so much fun. I've been told I should be a psycho-analyst, but that's really not for me I don't think... Plus, when hitting on girls, if you actually do understand what they want to hear and what they want people to see them as, you can just describe yourself under that light/say you're looking for someone like that and they "eat it up" as Dem says.
Isn't a physco-analyst, its a profiler. Well , I don't just do it with girls, I did it with my moms girl. Lately she's been asking too much about kids. My girl takes care of her niece everyday and sometimes even for weeks because the mom is a party whore. She does it for money and get experience with kids. So lately, people have been asking if my girlfriend is pregnant or just getting chubby. (I like chubbies ). So last Saturday, the conversation came up between my girl, her 2 female cousins, my girls mom and me. The 2 female cousins said their niece is basicly her kid. When her mom heard this she instantly flipped out. She said "No, she has to have her own kids, she can't just adopt her kid" and a whole bunch of other stuff. It was pretty funny, because it was just a conversation, but her mom flipped out. She turned 56 about 2 months ago. My first though, she wants a grandkid. Ok , so i explained my point of view to my girlfriend, she said Idk, shes always saying wait for the right time. I'm not even close to thinking about having kids. And im not, this isn't the point been discussed here. So i told my girlfriend, to just test her. So she approach her and said "Do you want a grandkid?" Outta nowhere, just like I told her, I told her to pay attention to details, body movement, voice tone, if she talks looking at you, little stuff i've learned over the years. She said "What ? Me ? No, why would i want a grandkid? No way you're kidding right? Seriously why would I want a grandkid?" Sudden questions. And lol, She told her "She is pregnant" and she got all happy with her for an hour. Until my girl pop'd her bubble dream and said it was a joke. She said she was just testing her mom and a technique I told her to use. lol.
man everytime i meet a new person... even some people i've already met i always do a quick profile. helps me understand better how to act around them whats acceptable etc... especially if its a girl i'm interested in lol i'm sure everyone else tha meets me does the same thing as well
