The release date has not been announced yet, though Blizzard usually first announces games anywhere from 2 to 3 years before they are released. This of course will only be the release of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, the Terran campaign and the main game. Expansions 'Heart of the Swarm' and 'Legacy of the Void' will probably follow at two year intervals, focusing on Zerg and Protoss campaigns.

2 year intervals my ass, that is so wrong it's not even funny. Also each game is a standalone, they don't count as expansions cause each individual game can access it's respective campaign and get online.

1 year at the maximum will be the interval between games, but im thinking more along the lines of 4-6 months.

    ^From the official site itself.

Blizzard isn't going to release all three games in a single year nor 8 months. First, hardly anyone would be able to afford all three games within that time period, maybe you are made of money, but some of us work for ours and spend it on other things besides video games. Gas, insurance, food, clothing and rent for example. Secondly, Blizzard hardly has the man power to make three separate titles within that allotted time. They have a huge work force working on World of Warcraft and they can only manage to dish out an expansion every two years. So for a less popular title, that was only recently decided to be made into a trilogy, will hardly be complete in 3 years. Finally, Blizzard is a marketing genius, releasing all three games at once (or within 4 months of each other) is not only stupid, but it would cut their profits severely. Also I am sure each expansion will add something to the online game, I for one could care less for the single-player campaign.

    Seriously...
