Black Screen Of Death Problem.

Yeah, you should be able to extract the files from the .rar first, and then
burn the ISO file that comes out of it with a handy program called ISO Recorder.
It's a virus-free program, which is also recommended by Microsoft itself, to burn ISO files to a disk.
In your case, you only need a CD.

And, I also found out that the Recovery Disc also has the bootmgr itself, so you won't need to download mine.

EDIT: Please don't do anything yet! As of this time, I'm not sure if the Recovery Disc has the X:\boot\bootsect.exe file.
Please wait with doing anything while I find that out, for your sake.

Oh dang I was hoping to be able to help you with a real Black Screen of Death where the operating system never boots at all. You just sit there with a blinking underscore...

I've never heard of this problem. Have you fiddled with any settings or modified any files that could be important?

These problems are the exact reason why I will never use Windows again.

Aff, I really hate Acer. I know that there are many peoples who are struggeling with them.. Suddenly, them simple stop booting! I don't think my case is a rare case, but there are few or none solutions. I'll try aero.swift's solution if the Recovery Disk has the bootsect.exe -file..

sorry I let you wait so long, I've been busy last week.

First, burn the ISO to a CD using the program I mentioned earlier.

Apparently, bootsect.exe isn't distributed with the recovery DVD, since if they would, they would be sued by M$.
Get a floppy (yeah, I know, oldskool) and download bootsect.exe from here. (don't worry, it's safe, I scanned it, see screenshot below.)
Copy it to the floppy.

Now comes the tricky part.
Have both the Recovery CD/DVD at hand and the floppy you just created.
While the computer boots, first put in quickly the CD, and as soon as it starts booting from the CD (not before!) put in the floppy.
Now you should be able to use bootsect with the instructions I mentioned earlier,
only not using X:\boot\bootsect.exe but A:\bootsect.exe

Sorry for late reply, but I don't have access to any computer at home, since my laptop is f0kd. So yea ...

But there is one problem, I don't have any room for a floppy-disc at my laptop - Only CD's.. :/
Is it possible to get the same procedure to work without a floppy?

 

Uhm... ok, that would be a problem, but nothing we can't solve!

You need to find another way to that file while having that CD in your drive... do you happen to have an USB stick?
Just make sure to plug it in before the CD boots and it might recognize it.

Yes I have an USB-stick.

So, I will;
* extract the Vista Recovery Disc-torrent.
* then burn it to a CD with ISO Recorder.
* download bootsect.exe and copy it to an USB-stick.

* finally, insert the USB and then boot the computer with the CD that I've burned.

Yes, that's perfectly right.

After that, follow the instructions I posted earlier, only using X:\bootsect.exe instead of X:\boot\bootsect.exe. (X being the letter of your USB drive, just take a guess by trying all letters if you don't know)
