    Yeah, I'm a Dutchie from Belgium and shame on you for never having heard of it :P

    It may be small, but I live there so everyone should know it... xD

    Well, I can point on it on the map now :P. And I know that Dutch (which I believe is a small part?), German, and French are the common languages, so it can get confusing if you switch regions... My French teacher last year was from Belgium. Speaks perfect English, probably perfect Spanish (he was the Spanish teacher too), perfect German, and plans to learn Italian. I don't know about any other languages he might know. But yeah, because of him, I learned a bit about the French part of Belgium.

    I probably know more about your country than most Americans, which is sad, because I don't truly know that much. But I do know how you feel... "Oh, I'm from Oregon!" "Is that by New York? Have you met my cousin?" "Err... no, it's between California and Washington. You know, that state on the coast?" "Ohhh! That state!"

    Real conversation my mom had with a foreigner. I've had several similar ones myself. A few were with Americans.

    Lol, thing with Americans is that they mostly only know America so no real point in doing a geographical discussion there :P
    (And actually German language is the smaller part here. Dutch and French are equally devided / ~ top half is Dutch, bottom half is French)

    Really! I don't even know anything about Dutch, I always thought it was German when I heard it... or maybe it was German I was hearing. I really don't know. Yup. Clueless.

    And I don't know the geography of my own city (my mom is tempted to buy me a GPS...). How could you possibly expect me to know international geography? :P
