Does anyone know of any decent web design sites that offer tutorials for dream weaver. I'd like to get a feel for the program before college so i'm not just jumping into things.

If anyone knows of any sites please list them here.

    thanks.

You don't really need a Dreamweaver tutorial, since you should be writing it out yourself. Just remember: the world button is the preview button and will list internet explorer and firefox (on mac it lists firefox and safari, I don't know how to change this). Check page will check your coding against different browsers, telling you if any line is incompatible with a particular browser and what version. Design view isn't always true to the browsers and has a refresh button. Beyond that, I don't really know, since I don't use a lot of the Dreamweaver functions.

    helpful firefox addons:
    Web Developer
    Firebug

There's more, but I don't have time to find them right now. I'm also learning myself. I have CSS down pretty well, but javascript is a bit harder for me >.<. I kinda... skipped the html part... I was told it's a huge no-no too many times to count, so I just decided that I'd learn basic html formatting and call it good. Divs, br, link rel, p, and the lists, and we're a happy family.

It's not 1337, believe it or not :P. It's the "world wide web consortium", hence the 3 ;). The W3C pretty much determines what is proper coding for web design, and what browsers need to include. They're behind the CSS 3 upgrade that hopefully will be occurring soon, so if you learn from there, you're learning it right. Yet, for some reason, they use tables instead of CSS in their website  . Probably too lazy to update it. Oh, and if you're W3 certified, it means that your knowledge is up-to-date with the current trends. You have to pay to take the test for that though.

    awesome site

though if you want to get serious with coding i suggest you do not use dreamweaver, or atleast stay away from its design view.

also, wasnt the acid test on w3c?
