    Here's what you do:

    Go to Add/Remove Programs
    Remove Trend
    Go download AVG Free 8.0
    Install
    ????
    PROFIT!!!

AVG blows. Just waste a bit of money on something good like Kaspersky, you won't be disappointed.

Oh and Kaspersky will actually detect the viruses. :P

Um...all virus protections are pretty much the same dude.

Take it from the guy who sees this crap all day, everyday.

Can't honestly state Norton is as good as Avast, NOD32 or Kaspersky.

    i use Trend to.

And maybe if you try to delete it in your registry first , restart the comp and then install ?
(run , type in regedit , local_machine and then you should find the map trend micro and remove it .)

Then the comp shouldn't find anything from trend anymore.

    Hope this helps.

    Dr!ver.

It is, it's just crammed with so much unnecessary junk that it gets a bad report. As for the detecting of viruses though, they are all as bad, or as good as each other.

Having said that, I recommend the free virus programs as they are adequate and don't come full of Norton type rubbish that you don't need. Your router has a firewall in it and if a hacker really wanted in, he'd get in.
