Alright, so I'd like to get some ideas here, and then I'll change this to a to do list.

So it seems like the best way to do this is set up some themes and organize the pack into folders based off of that.

General ideas of what we could include:

    Architecture
    Abstract/Surreal
    Macro
    Miscellaneous
    Nature (animals & plants)
Objects (still life, transportation, litter, etc.)
    People
    Places (roads, parks, etc.)
    Scapes (land, water, city, sky)
    Textures

If we do it this way, maybe we should have people call out which themes they want to shoot for (meaning you can shoot multiple themes), and a loose estimate of how many submissions per theme. That way, we have a basic idea of how far we have to go as well as involvement. Also, it will up the quality of submissions. Just having a theme to work off means that you're going to think about your shot beforehand, which makes it more usable and just better.

I'd also like to ask that you only submit the good shots. Let's not have any left overs this time around :). Plan them, shoot them, and then submit them. If we seem to be coming up short, I'd be happy to fill in the blanks. If people are going to spend all that time downloading the pack, we might as well make it worth it :)

    Thoughts? Opinions?

Sounds like a good plan to me. Easiest ones for me would prbly be nature and objects. Might be able to get some city/landscape photos and photos of other places but I wouldn't 100% rely on me for that. If I come up with anything for those I'll definitely include them but it might not be a lot.
I'm also gonna be trying to work on macro shots too as those really interest me. As such, the subjects are gonna vary so I guess that would be filed under the misc. category.

Cityscapes aren't a must. The useful ones are really hard to get. I might be able to get some, depending on if I ever get an interview up on the hill... Which has a lovely view of downtown Portland.

I was thinking macro could go with surreal/abstract, but that might be pushing it. I'll add its own category :)

How many pictures do we want each member to submit? Also I think anyone who does not submit this time should be removed from the crew. Half our members are not just innactive, they are non-existent.

I'll talk to Geox about that. I agree: if you're not going to help the crew exist, then why be in the crew? It's not too difficult to at least get on every few days and see what's up.

Maybe a minimum of 3 per member, up to 6? I dunno. Numbers never were my thing :P

I personally think we should have AT LEAST 30 different stocks in each pack, even if we do have to add a few fillers.

Alright, that sounds good :). We need to figure out how many people will agree to take photos for it though. Thus far, we've only had four people post in this topic, and Slight will probably help out, so that makes five. Six images a piece?

speaking of Geox..where is he? haven't seen him active anywhere in quite a while. Getting rid of the other dead weight = good :P

as for the pack, there definitely should be a minimum for each person but really no maximum as I don't think we can ever have too many photos. The more we have, the better. we just have to make sure that we do thorough quality control when we are putting everything together. might even be good to have input from everybody else in the crew on each others' photos, specifying which ones are good, which aren't the greatest quality, etc.

Illuminati, I like your style, bub. Let's do that :)

Geox... last I checked, he was very preoccupied with school... Still gets online here though, so I don't know what's up.

sorry. just finished midterms on friday.

a more structured pack is a really good idea. Lets figure that out perfectly for the next pack ASAP.

Sorry i was dead for a little while. just been swamped with midterms and college apps that should have been in months ago lol
