I don't know if anyone here has used it but I need some help with it.

I have been trying to convert flv files into Zune(mp4) files with little luck. The first time I tried it it worked perfectly, but now it won't work on any of my other files. I don't think I've done anything different with the new files, they have all been saved from youtube, they've all been saved using the same program(orbit), and they have all been attempted with the same settings (Zune(mp4), resolution 320x240, everything else default). I've also tried checking "DirectShow Decode", changing the "output video codec" to something else, saving the flv files with a different program, and changing the "output container" to normal mp4 instead of Zune(mp4).

I think I must be missing something because it's kinda weird for the first video to convert just fine but 10 other of the same type videos to not convert. I've tested all the videos by playing them with vlc media player and they all play perfectly.

Edit: now that I think about it this is probably the wrong topic for this so someone can move it if they want.

It would help if you told us what happened when you tried to convert them.

Convert them to a WMV, that is the easyest solution, I had the same issue of not getting them to show up on the list (if that is your problem)

I occasionally have similar problems, but I found that it is better to use a different program for converting something for my iPod. Do you get the same problem when you try to convert it to a different container, like MKV or AVI?

I use winAvi iPod converter since it seems to give me less problems.

Um... They didnt convert hehe... Unless you wanted to hear that the converter said "Error when trying to convert"(something like that).

Yeah I tried that after I posted this topic, it worked for some but not for others. Does the quality of the video not allow some videos to convert?

Oh also I tried matching the "settings"(like bit rates, frames per second, etc.) of the original file with the conversion but that didn't work either.

Edit: *Sigh*, everytime I ask a question I find a fix on accident. Anyways if you wanna know how I did it on these new vids I first converted into MP4 format with H63+ output and matched the settings from the original vid. Then, I converted the newly converted vids into Zune(wmv) format and matched the settings from the newly converted vids. Ta da! :)
