Firefox Update Problem

    ok my firefox updated the other day to 1.0.2 and for some reason it seems a hell of alot slower to what it used to be this is really bothering me, is it happeninig to anyone else?? btw i have 1mb broadband and i have done that firefox speed tutorial thingy

    have you played around with the settings under about:config? You know, where u can change the number of attemps the browser trys.

    actually guys it might be my ISP i opened IE and it the same and i asked my friend on msn and he says his is going slow too (we both have the same ISP) just kinda weird it slowed down after i updated firefox :blink:

    try re-installing? try uninstalling the old firefox, that might help

    i had to install 1.0.2 because that little red thing up in the top corner was really annoying, i had to manually download it becuase the update through FF wouldn't work, but i think it runs slower maybe you have to redo the about:config routine...?

    Yeah, I'm sure it's a problem on your end, like your ISP. I personally have no problem at all with the new updates (and auto-update worked for me).

    I used the config tweaks for my firefox that im running right now, and It helps alot... its a bunch faster. Try it. Just type in about:config in the address bar, and search google for what to tweak, I cant remember right now.

    Yep I had this problem... Uninstall and reinstall worked for me! Give it a try
