NO. NO. NO. FOR GOD'S SAKES NO. Seriously, my god. Doesn't gaming have enough style over actual SUBSTANCE? If Apple came out with a system, my hope for gaming going back to a time where immersion of game play and legitimate fun was over violence/graphics would be all lost.

If Apple Comes out with a Gaming System then I'll be the first one to Purchase one, take it outside of the Store and BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF THE SYSTEM WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER TO SHOW THE WORLD WHY APPLE SHOULD NEVER MAKE A FREAKING GAMING SYSTEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. It wouldn't be that good anyways. I mean they came out with Macbook Air..what did that do? nothing..in fact, Apple lost Millions in that Investment...Iphone yes it sold tons and tons but most of them are Jailbroken so Apple doesn't get ---- from AT&T..and AT&T Makes millions either way.. ..
Even if they brought out a reasonably priced, well made console with good 3rd party support there would still be a huge number of anti-mac fanboys (myself most likely included) who would boycott it anyway. But that's not gonna happen so no worries.
Truth. The Zune is competitive, the difference is iPod's populartiy through marketing. If the Zune and iPod were released the same day with the same advertisement the Microsoft product would likely have far better sales. Microsoft has actually been the backer for a lot of titles, while they didn't exclusively develop them, MS has been a major contributor to their game selection. Sony made the mistake of allowing companies to work on their own with new hardware (blu-ray) which ended up biting them in the butt. Like everything else it has made. This.
May sound like a cool idea but idk man, if they can't build great gaming Mac's who knows what's going to happen to a gaming console? It would be a pretty cool thing to see tho, I reallyy love the design of Apple's stuff like their iPods, phones, mac books, iMacs, iTV (or w/e)
