I'm looking to study something, my current qualification is only what's considered a High School Degree in the States or the most parts of the World. Now I am going to start my GED soon, is it advised that I do the GED course? I don't have any other option since on the basis of my current qualification certificate (the high school) I can't continue my studies like doing a BBA Degree course or something alike. After I finish doing the GED course, I'm going to go for eSol, as I might be planning to study in the UK later on.

I want advises from you people on what I should study, what would get me a good job? What would be most useful for me?

Feel free to suggest according to your country because I'm considering studies abroad.

If there is anything missing, please inform and ask me.

P.S Serious suggestions only please! :->

Well, what is some of the stuff you like to do? You're better off having a job that you enjoy going to instead of hating your job

As I said, I'm only doing the GED so it would enable me to study further and then I can complete my Graduation because without a Bachelors degree I'm pretty much illiterate.

And I'm working in Customer Services department of a Local Shopping Mall here and as far as I've heard, there is no future in it i.e if I plan to go further in my career and grow in the organization. I want a job that suits me, and that is also of my interest. I love my current job too but I feel that I can't just go on like this forever as there are many things I would face in the future when I plan to get married as the culture and traditions of my country are very limited and for me they suck because they're just not as good as Europeans/American/etc... If you want to marry a girl, her father would want you to be at least an Engineer/Doctor/Architect or whatever, but if you're just working in Customer Services of a local mall and don't earn that much, he wouldn't let you marry his daughter, and of course there is much more to add to the misery like social status and crap.

    Hmm?
I'm guessing your either in India or Pakistan or some other place near there. (Go India!)
Ahem. Anyway, I'd suggest maybe taking a career test, although corny, it may help. Try looking at what you do. If your an artistic or architectural person, you really should try Engineering. I'm in an engineering class in my high school and its pretty damn good. I honestly hate the medical field, but you can always give it a shot.
If you like working in the sales area, try becoming something in the whole buisness field. Maybe be a manager? It all depends on you and how far you wanna go.

Didn't he want a serious discussion for this? Not that I'm into the jokes and all, but he might not exactly appreciate it. :D

Well I guess I will give you a serious answer unlike some...lol

I highly recommend engineering if you are good with math and science. There are tons of fields in engineering too: electrical, computer, mechanical, civil, chemical, etc...Engineers are always in demand and are highly paid as well.

I think taking advice from a bunch of illiterate punks on a forum isn't the wisest thing to do.
