I have windows vista (Don't know if that's part of problem but just mentioning)

When I click the Shortcut on Desktop, it opens up as usual...but it, basically wants to lock up completely.. I hate to wait like a minute for it to open, and another window is up also, "XML Layer" Along with My Firefox window. After that though, it runs completely fine, until the occasional random lock up? I'm not sure why it's doing this, for it never happened before. I have 1.5 GB RAM, so idk...I think it's more than enough to not lock up with firefox. Any help is appreciated.

Could be hyper-treading, not sure. Try runnning it in compatibility mode. (so right click and go to proporties and then run in compatibility mode with windows 98/me)

Firefox is too cool to have problems, the problem is with the computer =D.

Seriously though, do you have Firefox addons or themes? If so, try running firefox in safe mode to see if the problem is with one of those.

I tried compatibility mode. it didn't start at all. And no, I don't have any themes or add-ons at all. completely stock.
