That's respectable, I guess. But you can't argue that, from a composition point of view, they aren't musically diverse, because they definitely are.
You really need to look respectively into the genres they create. Really, it's the only way my explanation is applicable.

Honestly that is not an "abundance of genres", almost every band you listed is mainstream and it doesn't matter if they involve guitars or synthesizers, mainstream music is often similar to other mainstream music. Do you know me, you ------ing stalking me? I don't follow ANY of these bands because of popularity, but purely because I like the sound of their music. How do you know these don't impact or relate to my life? I'm not an ignorant person who listens to music because it makes me feel cool or gets me friends. I listen because I LOVE it man. If I could have been bothered I would have posted ALL the bands I listen to and this wouldn't have started. And you're telling me I have no musical sense?
