I didn't know where else to post this so sorry if you feel it's the wrong place. Anyway I'm looking for someone who is good with myspace coding, meaning you actually know how to code and you know all of myspace's html restrictions. I need some little things fixed in my coding(they seem pretty minor anyway), I need my profile to look its' best on both Firefox and IE. I can't pay you much but I'm willing to pay you 500 GR creds. Some examples of myspace's you coded yourself(not just codes you got from different places and put together) would really help me see if your right for the job. Things you'll be fixing: Firefox- Why are my images downsizing? Internet Explorer- Why are my images so dark?
I'm no coder, but I can explain your image problem and why it's hopeless. It's all in the browser. That's all there is to it. It seems that IE reads png's differently than FF, which causes them to be a bit darker than they should be. I checked with a render, took a screenshot of it open in both browsers, and overlapped them in Photoshop. The one from IE was darker than the one from FF. Other situations where this happens is when you save it in a format other than sRGB. I know that Adobe RGB 1998 isn't supposed by browsers, and so the images appear washed out. I can also tell you that Safari, last I checked, displayed colors better than any other browser. Some programs allow you to attach ICC profiles to your images (tells us what the color profile is), but the viewer needs an add-on in order to view the images with the proper profile, so it's pretty pointless. Wish I could help with your myspace issue, but I can pretty much guarantee you that I'd make it worse . Besides, MySpace has the worst "html" ever. So bad that I don't even call it html. I once tried to do a minute amount of coding (I don't know enough to do more ) and failed miserably because MySpace doesn't even hint at following w3c standards. Unless they've changed it, I probably wouldn't actually help even if I could .
Well I don't really care so much about the dark images on IE because I don't use it but can anyone still help with the downsizing on firefox? Is it just my own browser settings or something?
Does MySpace support css? When I first tried to mess with MySpace layouts, I hadn't even heard the acronym before, let alone known how to use it. Either way, MySpace still sucks at html *couldn't code anything in css except the bare basics until three days ago* Ambiguity, I don't think anyone could help without actually seeing it live, or seeing the source. Of course, me and my small amount of knowledge isn't very helpful . Consider it a free bump
I know they can't, that's why I'm asking for someone who is good with the coding for myspace(so I can show the code to them and see if anything can be done). I don't wanna post up my code(or space because you can just right-click>view page source) just so everyone can have it and not help me any. Thanks for the free bump though .
Erhm... I knew that. Yesss. -_- *is known to forget things quite often* Would you people stop recommending Opera? You still have to code everything to function properly on the most popular browsers, so it doesn't matter what you use. You still have to validate it for both Firefox and Internet Explorer, so it's completely irrelevant to this topic...
All you people bitching and whining about how hard coding for myspace is clearly just don't know enough about css.
So does that mean you do and your willing to do this or you just like telling others how stupid they are? lol.
