So I bought some A4Tech PS/2 keyboard some time back, and when I try to use it, it wont work... If I plug it in and start the computer, the caps, scroll, and num lock flashes 3 times.. But after that it wont respond. So am I doing something wrong? I didnt get any installation disc or anything, it said on the box you only had to plug it in and then its ready to use. Anyone has any idea? Thanks.
What's your OS, and is the keyboard USB? I'm too lazy to look for the keyboard... If you're running on anything other than Windows, I have no idea how to help. If you ARE running on Windows, you need to go to your Control Panel and look under devices. The installation might have been corrupted if it's USB, and if it's not USB the computer might not have fully recognized the keyboard. Google it if this doesn't help...
Check your BIOS to see if your computer recognizes it. Also, doesn't the manufacturer of the keyboard has a site or something (to download drivers)?
http://www.a4tech.com/ennew/downloads.asp See if you can find anything there though. Starting Bios is usually done by pressing a key combination upon startup, determined by your OS (you should check the manual) General it's DEL F12 CTRL+ALT one of those. But be careful about that though seeing you don't know how to start it up I don't think you should mess with it You could haowever try buying an adapter? (so from PS/2 to usb) That might make it work.
Just a quick thought but did you try to plug the keyboard in before you start the computer or just after it was already on? Sounds dumb but a lot of people assume all components are hot swappable.

The installation may have been corrupted, usually due to the USB drive it was placed it. Try plugging it in to another USB drive if you haven't already. (I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm making sure you did what I said)
