I think it's much better to think for yourself and come up with your own moral code, and ethics, to follow, rather than just believe what you've been told to believe. Passive belief just seems to be a whole lot less meaningful than actively processing and understanding.

 

QFT, I completely agree. I myself do not understand why people are willing to mindlessly follow stupid ideologies, for example Scientology. I guess it's a lot of 'monkey see, monkey do', however I really hope this changes in the near future.. otherwise we'll end up with more stupid wars. (Although all wars are pretty stupid imo)
