So everyone thinks about things before you go to sleep and everyone dreams, so I'm asking do you ever remember if what your thinking about carries on into you dream and if you realize it in the morning?

For example I just woke up and i can remeber thinking about what i want to go shopping for today and then i remembered that in my dream i went to a K-Mart and bought a giant purple caterpillar and kept it as a pet.

So realizing this connection do you think that thinking about a subject will help you dream about it?

I've tried it once... Before i slept, I kept on reminding myself to not forget to bring my Shades (don't ask why, I just luv my shades ) to a trip the following day. I had a dream of me going to the place without my shades LOL. I woke up and almost forgot again but the dream reminded me.

Nyahha, if you think of things a lot before you sleep, you will most probably have a dream about it. LOL

i tend to lie in bed and remember stuff, or plan things i need to do then forget them the next day,
my dreams are generally not related at all, unless sometimes with poeple and places.

I don't dream most of the time, although when I come home from clubbing I have some ------ing warped dreams sometimes :S

And yea generally if you're thinking hard about something you wanna do or something you should remember, you generally dream about it :)

Question for OP: Did you go to K-mart the next day and buy a caterpillar in the end?

I can never remember what I dream but my girlfriend says I sometimes wake her up in the middle of the night and that I say weird things to her :P
I do however have quite a lot of déja-vu feelings ^^

I have very excellent dream recollection... and some of my stoner friends want me to take a drug called... salvia? (sp?) and tell them if I can remember what all the other demensions are like.

And yes, it's REM. Your body when it's in its deepest sleeping phase is gathering all the data you've taken in that day and processing it, so it's no coincidence if you dream about subjects you've had.

Deja Vu is a phenomenon I do not understand at all, and yet I've had it happen numerous times.

    Salvia is the correct spelling.
