well uhm, i got some problems with my renders, well

in the first signatures i did i always used renders like this [IMG]

    or this [IMG]

but somehow i think, what did i do there???

how can i make those renders fit into my sig, i think there has to be some movement or so but i cant just let it like that .. can i?

for example one of my recent dones

i'm so happy with this one becouse it looks so ------ed-off, i mean the render is like just a kinda bummer ^^
    which fits quite good

but this one : (which is not one of my favourite becouse of the colours)

I dunno gimme tips how i can do better in this one

I'm always tryng with filter and brush strokes there and strokes there and fit em together with a layermask and then waves .. blabla

but it wont fit then becouse it looks empty ...

like this one, i did thias for a friend (the text looks awful, but i didn't mind i had headache and just wrote it ^^)

he wanted those 3 renders becouse of the good and the darkside ...

Hmm to make it short, well

u see in the sigs i posted there is kinda no depth, i mostly do sprite sigs, which show movement

but i want to make sigs like the ones i posted but better quality, depth lighting and stuff like that

    ^^ k?

and wel blending, but i think i got that now

So you're basically saying you want to make better sigs?

    Tutorial section
    Practice
    Practice
    Practice

You already know what needs to be improved (depth, lighting, etc..) which is a start, so my advice would be to check out some tuts and go from there.

What mikey said is probably the most important, but i guess other things like lighting will help too. IE, making the focal stand out more by making it brighter than the BG, but of course you don't want so much of a distinction that it doesn't blend, but yeah, blurring is probably the best way for depth, unless your doing realism which in that case the background usually speaks for itself.
