Does anyone believe in love? Like true love. Not love at first sight just plain old true love.

I do. I have been with my boyfriend for awhile now, about to make two years. I really do love him alot.

    So anyone else?

    Yes and no.

I'm too lazy to go into it more than that.

    This.

And don't expect to many nice responses from members on here. It's like they hate to show their human or something so they'll just bash you for being an "idiot."

Yes and No, like the others.

I do NOT believe in soul mates, or that one particular individual is lined up in a line of destiny of w/e and you two meet. I believe in compatibility. There are specific things a man needs in a relationship (respect being the biggest one), and there are things women need in a relationship (quite a substantial amount more than men, in particular love and stability). I was raised christian, and unfortunately some of the morals have stuck with me. I believe that in a partnership each individual is not complete, and the key to finding a happy relationship is the balance of what exists and what does not exist. I believe this is where the phrase 'opposites attract' comes from when it comes to relationships. This isn't to say that all relationships the people are opposite, but in every relationship one person is missing something that the other person has plenty of. I believe when you find this person, it is the person you can make things work.

Yes, make things work. It is a relationship, its not destiny, you don't magically fall into this perfect existance where everything goes right. There will be trials, there will be difficulties, and there will be times where you will literally want to kill the other person, its these differences, and these confrontations that further reinforce relationships. No matter how alike, or how well you compliment one another, you are both constantly changing, and you both must constantly change and mesh together just as effeciently or you will fail. A relationship takes push and pull from the 2 individuals involved, and an equal amount of work on both sides, and without that the relationship cannot exist regardless of how compatible you are.

Once you find this person it is then up to both of you to continue to work to maintain the relationship, and that is what love is, simplified dramatically obviously.

Most people don't seem to understand this, or rather choose not too.

Hate to break it to ya but you have to be 21 in the States to drink not 18.

PS I lied, I didn't hate breaking it to you. I loved every second of it.

But I thought you didn't need a brain to be online. You proved that.

And maybe you should hone your skills on picking up sarcasm.

"Love is not the end of the world, love is the beginning of the world. Many people write about the subject of love as if that was some ultimate attainment to aspire to …you can have love but you can go beyond that, into realms that are even more interesting."
