Ok, so I have a US Govt. exam tomorrow morning. I did the multiple choice today and tomorrow all I have to do is go in and write 2 short-essays. I'm having some trouble writing them, and I know somebody here probably has an idea.. Don't call me lazy/stupid/etc because I've already pre-written them for practice, but I don't like them. Here's the questions..

    1. What measures are being undertaken to improve the quality of public education in the state of Texas? Given the size and scope of the undertaking, do you feel the state will be effective in improving educational performance? What is the basis for your answer?

    2. Over the last 200 years, the American Constitution has changed considerably, and not just as the result of formal, numbered amendments. Write an essay on constitutional change, focusing on the ways the US Constitution has changed other then by formal amendment. Be sure to give specific examples to illustrate your points.

The only length requirement is that it answers the question entirely. Any help is appreciated :)

    None.

Besides formal amendment, the constitution has remained the same.

    1) dont know jack about texas

    2) focus on judicial review. point out that although the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments should have secured equal rights for blacks, they ultimately failed. it was Brown v. BOE that did that. the supreme court changed the constitution more than an actual change did.

what level is this for? high school? college?

It was for a dual-credit course.(College credit, taken in high school). #1 was bull----, the only measures being taken were measures to get more money. and #2 was judicial interpretation and practice/experience. Thanks IonMirage. Got an A on the exam
