Hi guys since Blizzard has just send out a lot of E-mails to Private servers wich stated that they should close ASAP, becuase they might get sued. I am thinking of playing Retail, Now Before I'm going to run to a local vendor I have a Few questions for you guys 1. If I buy the game does it come with 1 month or maybe a few months free? 2. Do you thinks this game is really worth the 13 euro's a Month? 3. How long does it take for an average player take to lvl to Lvl: 60/70/80? (with or without guide?) 1) 1 Month free I believe 2) Meh, it definitely starts to add up. I mean, even Xbox Live is cheaper. Sometimes you can get really good deals on game cards. 3) Leveling on your own can take some time if you haven't done it legitimately or just a big ---. Obviously it will be harder w/o some1 else to play with. But if you decide to throw your life away, it can definitely be done.
point number 2 is true but for XboX live you still don't get WoW and point number 3 I saw some people hitting 60 or 70 in like 6 days so xD
^^^ They hit level 60 because help + no friends + no life = SUPER NERD. Wow is ok to play a little bit daily, but people get too into, know every ------in thing about the game, and it's just majorly retarded.
You wont reach 60 if you play casual for a long time. I never reached 60 and I played for a good few months with a good low-level guild. So if you don't want to play hardcore, you wont hit 60 for a while.
THe average player would hit max level (80 atm) in about 4 months of playtime of a few hours a day. Its worth the money if you play as much as me. You are a scrub for playing on a private server, get a job and play correctly you bum.
I just started playing WoW for the first time exactly two weeks ago. I am level 30 and that includes on average about 4 hours a day. Though of that time, half of it was spent learning about the game, because it is not a simple thing to learn. It isn't like diablo II where your items are Magic, Rare, Set or Unique, there are still those possibilites, but there is much more enhancement. Before I started playing WoW I was achievement hunting on Xbox 360 and spending about $100-$200 dollars every month on new games. That with the monthly subscription cost, and I was spending way more money than if I played WoW. I am even thinking of buying another account just so I can have a horde character on my same server. ( I know, I am a cheater). It is well worth the money, as any blizzard game is. I have never heard someone say a blizzard game sucked, that they have actually played before. I don't know if you have ever played Oblivion or Fallout 3, but before I played WoW I believed those games massive. Now with playing it, they are tiny in comparison. If you were to play every character class, explore every plot of land, max out in every profession you would be playing for well over 1000 hours. And that isn't even adding PvP, achievements, skill class, expansions, holiday events, unlockables, etc. This game is so enormous that it reinvents the word, even without either expansion. I must add though, that this game is quite difficult by yourself when starting. You don't know where to go, you don't know where to level, you don't know anything about anything. Most of the crowd on this game, atleast in my server Ysondre, is very helpful to newbies, something that very much surprised me. I would also recommend meeting and befriending a lot of people as well, because parties are a much needed item in this game, and when you are alone and requesting groups, you can be spending 2-5 hours waiting to get all the classes you need, healer, tank, dps, etc. And when you finally get the last person, someone will need to leave, or you might actually be able to do it, the point is, it is very time consuming. It is like real life. You cannot just suddenly be a Grand Master at something, you have to spend many hours dedicated to that subject. Edit: I just reread your first post and realized that you have actually played this game before, so most of my post is irrelevant :S.
Yeah its worth it. Its certainly not the greatest MMO out there. Its got all the new people to MMO's joining it which has made it what its grew into now...but yeah anyhow - (I secretly despise WoW just because ive played so many MMO's and know that WoW is a BASIC MMO, it doesnt excell in anything at all. And its PvP is quite frankly...terrible) but yeah enough of that, thats just my opinion, it is an enjoyable game though dont get me wrong. And tbh the subscription price is nothing...when you get an mmo and get into it you play it for months most times...without buying any new pc games, where as on a console you can finish games within a week now and go out and buy a new one and most times a game costs like 3x the sub of say for instance WoW. So yeah just look at it like that. lol
This is why WoW is the only world played competitive PvP in an MMO? Nope, surely it fails. Surely people don't make 25k+ at a single competition and their are dozens of them around. WoW PvP is imbalanced because the PvP system is based on checks and balances, arena (the competitive bracket) is a bunch of cookie cutter teams, because there is always strengths and bonuses in every team which beats another. It comes down a lot to luck, but in the end, it keeps the nubs out, and the competition in, which makes it a very solid competitive environment. Regarding the time... when I first started playing thanks to Logical, back in vanilla WoW, Naxxramas (the original one) wasn't even released yet and I told her one day I would in one of the top guilds in the world. It has taken 2 1/2, nearly 3 years of putting forth solid 4-8 hour days to get where I am now, but I am currently in one of the top guilds in the world competing to be one of the best players of my current class (death knight - almost in the top 10 world wide DPS charts). You won't ever run out of something to do, ever. Since WotLK (the new expansion) was released I have been averaging 12-13 hour days and I still have far too many things to do, I won't ever complete them all.
I used to ------ing love WoW pvp, probably the biggest reason I didn't level very fast was because I spent most of my time in the battlegrounds bashing some Alliance skulls in. Great fun.

Yes, the box set comes with a month free. But do you have any friends who play? If you do, get them to send you a Recruit a Friend Key. This gives you a 10 day free trial, but your accounts are linking, meaning when you sign up properly you get: -Ability to summon any character from your friends account, and visa versa. -Triple XP from quests and monsters when questing together with your friend, as long as you are within about 5 levels of each other, and under 60. Trust me, if you can do this, you get to enjoy endgame so much faster. Me and my friend got from 1-40 in a week, averaging 4 hours a day. It took us about two weeks and a half to get from 1-60, with little time put in.
