Hip Hop's the culture, rap's the music. And what the hell, since when is Atmosphere "real" hip-hop and not Pitchfork dick sucking garbage? Don't say what hip-hop "really" is when the only criteria and reasoning you have is "OMG MAINSTREAM BADDD" and then say N.W.A. When it comes to a rap group, I suppose the first group that comes to mind is Black Star (though more of a collaboration). Near perfect album by all means.
Fabolous is my favorite, he's just solid on everything he appears on. and others no particular order. Eminem 2Pac Ludacris (Theater of The Mind is just ridiculous) Lil' Wayne Chamillionaire Crooked I The Game T.I. Ice Cube Young Buck (after the Unit) Obie Trice (mad underrated) Lupe Fiasco Bone Thugs Yung Joc (a few songs he has are crazy) DMX Juvenile Proof Stat Quo Talib Kweli
Lil Wayne is entertaining IMO. I listen to... Atmosphere Chamillionaire DangerDoom Danny! DMX Dr. Dre The Foreign Exchange Jay-Z Lupe Fiasco Madvillian MF DOOM Nicolay & Kay Quasimoto RJD2 (Don't think this one really counts) Sage Francis The Game Hieroglyphics Immortal Technique Kanye West Lil Wayne Nas T.I. 50 Cent (Older material) YoungBloodZ Lil Jon Tech N9ne
lol@that. That guy does nothing but freestyle half the time, don't know if you bother listening to his mixtapes? Jay-Z(Blueprint and Kingdom Come=sick) Chamillionaire Ludacris UGK Kanye Eminem(his older stuff..) As for bands Metallica Disturbed
Dre Eminem 50 - Because of The Three Headed Dragon: Interscope Battle Plan, haha. Umm: Kanye Fabolous Ludacris Joe Budden Lil Wayne Plies Lil Boosie Jay Z... Usually the ones I listen to most. Groups: G Unit - Beg For Mercy New BWS (2009) Three Six Mafia Bone Thugs
New hip-hop is garbage these days, Lil-wayne screaming he's blood half the time. Even though he isn't... NAS Mos-Def Dr. Dre Immortal Technique Wiz Khalifa Jay-Z Jedi Mind Tricks Lupe Fiasco Mac Dre Reks The Roots Kanye West (Up to the Graduation album) Skillz Snoop Dogg Common Talib Kweli UGK Bone Thugs N' Harmony
I don't follow. NWA sucks.. Wu-Tang FTW. But even so, I'm so used to hearing new ---- everywhere, NWA and Wu-Tang are just so dated. Cultures change, styles change, everything changes, get with the change..or you'll be exactly like your parents, when u have kids at 30 years old.
I'm pushin 4.3 gigs of basically all Weezy's albums/colabs/mixtapes. Still haven't listened to it all yet haha. Some others: T.I. Sage Francis Andre Nickatina Mac Dre The Cool Kids Doug E. Fresh E-40 Luda Dilated Peoples Kanye West ftw (yes even 808's) Immortal Technique K'naan Ill Bill Lupe Fiasco Mos Def Nujabes People Under the Stairs Project Pat Tech N9ne and so on...
