Already pre-ordered it and payed in full. I plan on buying the replica lancer assault rifle sometime next year as well. Gears of War holds a special place in my heart for being ultra badass, ultra violent, and insanely fun to play.
Being gay doesn't have anything to do with it. Some people just aren't into excessive violence, which is understandable. Side Note: I'd like to mention though that all the gore can be turned off, making the game as gory as a game like call of duty 4 or medal of honor.
It's been over hyped I'll eventually get it, but LBP and Fable 2 are higher on my list I'll probably get it for Christmas when the hype has died down.
Yes, I know now I'll be known as a n00b for bumping this. I want to get it, but I don't know if I should just wait to buy it when it comes out, or preorder the collector's edition and get a free R/C Tank from bestbuy... Golden lancer online sounds like fun but, mostly everyone will have it. I just know that I will be getting this, either preordering or buying it when it comes out.
You don't know if it's over-hyped until the game actually releases. I admit the hype is a bit high, but you can't really claim something like that until you've seen it for yourself. It might live up to the hype, you never know.
Seen some of the comments people have been saying about it? Yes. It is over hyped, no it won't live up to the hype, as that's impossible.
My point exactly. I dislike the whole GTA franchise, and yet I couldn't help but be caught up in the hype that surrounded it. Hell, I was even on the verge of buying it, but I decided not to, and I'm glad I didn't. In general, people played online with it for just about a month, and then just went back to CoD4 or Halo 3.
