Keep in mind, this discussion isn't solely on Rachel being a whore.

It also has to do with the ethics of indocrinating/brainwashing.

Broken I do agree with you on the fact that our planet is need of more foundations like this but I feel that if you're telling someone to do something like stop the violence and whatnot but the person the foundation is named after wasn't all that into it themselves then isn't that hypocritical?

    You've contradicted yourself.

You stated, "She could've been buying drugs or bullying people" and then, "You don't know what happened cause you weren't there".

    Good job, asshat.

Except it's not 50/50, the weight is greatly leaned on the 'bad person' side on average. There is only a few good people in the world, so he has more of a point than vice versa.

    her myspace?
    her email?
    her AIM?

2553.55 miles from my dream. Seriously.
The only thing I think what is a load of ---- is the fact that at the presentation when they showed a video and the sheriff said he had a dream the night before the shooting about a drawing in Rachel's backpack. That was over-dramatic bull----. That's what took it just a step too far.

True, we don't know who she really is, only to get word of who she is through other people who could just be sympathizing with her being gone. I ain't completely agreeing with you, but I can see a little bit of what your saying.

Not to be mean, but me and my friends made jokes after the presentation about her being a "demon", since her "drawing was seen an officers dream even before the shooting or any knowledge of it". We were just like, "If she can do something like putting an image into someones dreams, she's... she's.... A DEMON! Hahahaha!" Yeah, funny times that year.

No one person deserves any kind of foundation or anything of that sort named after them. It should be something that resides with all who are in the same tragedy.

Person's dead, people gotta get over it. People die, not that you have to get used to it, but it's for the best to get over it. Don't forget a person after their dead, but don't whimper over them for years. That'd just be sad, try and look on a brighter side (in a non-religious way maybe).

Overall, I'd just consider the whole presentation a bunch of over-dramatic bull---- written up by some company execs.

They based the foundation off of her diaries, not just hearsay. She had I think six or something like that. That's how we know who she was. People are pretty honest in their diaries, so whether her friends and family lied or not, we have evidence of her character in her personal writings.

It was in her diaries that she revealed what she wanted to do. You could say that her diaries are the foundation's mission statement. That's what it was based off of. It's not just using her or her name, but it's using her ideas as well as hopes and dreams to realize all of this. I had an older friend who died in a drunk driving accident. They named a scholarship after her. It's not because she died in a drunk driving accident, it's because she already planned to do that. This, to me, is the same thing, just on a larger scale.

    Ah, here we go:

It is hypocritical, not denying that.
However I don't see how it being hypocritical is an issue as long as it has a positive outcome.
    Sure, they could have picked someone better to base the foundation off (if the sceptics -opinions- were actually true), and yes, they're blowing it out of proportion. But if it doesn't affect you negatively I don't see why it has to be disputed ;

    In terms of brainwashing kids.
If they don't have strong enough willpower to resist that they deserve to be brainwashed.

Idk. i think her family members are the whores.

saying you're "glad she died" is just you being an ass. thats totally unnecessary. like you said in your facebook message thread "you didn't even know her." regardless of whether or not you agree with the foundation, there's no reason to say something like that about someone (particularly someone who died as tragically as her).
