Humbug. I'm finding myself forced to read a tutorial on how to create a slideshow in Lightroom 2. If only I could use PowerPoint >.<

We might be lucky and get another member. I don't know. They still haven't given us back the Camera Drawn listing in our profile info, even though we do have five active members now. I find it annoying that the stupid "Mandi's in the Middle" thing is on there and Camera Drawn isn't :/. Admin's shouldn't receive any special partiality, in my opinion. They should, in fact, be ruled on a stricter level. But they're not. *sigh*

I think I'd get a bad grade if I did that :P. This is worth 20% of my overall grade, after all. Although I might already be screwed over: I didn't have enough time to make the first deadline, so I might not even be able to get a B now. I don't know if my teacher forgave me for that or not, since she has realized that she's been assigning us too much homework. We shall see, I suppose.

The new photography competition topic is Christmas. We are a camera crew, I better not be the only one in there again. Sorry, one of two.

I am possibly thinking of driving into the mountains early Saturday/Sunday morning and spending all day walking around in nature, taking photos. Possibly thinking of buying another memory card for this occasion. Will post up the pictures if I end up going.

christmas is nice, but we already had our once-a-year snowstorm so that's pretty much out of the question for me...
might go to some other christmassy location soon so maybe that'll work out nicely

A zoo very much restricts what you can do with a camera. Though I don't like many of the shots in the first posts, the second post more than makes up for the lack. Photomanipulation could really bring a lot of these to life, and it is something we can teach you. I would have to say yes.

you have pictures of some ery nice locations and scenes, but most of them look like tourist pictures
    (these:
    http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k227/loc...wr/DSC00659.jpg
    http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k227/loc...wr/DSC00662.jpg
    http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k227/loc...wr/DSC00688.jpg
    http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k227/loc...wr/DSC00695.jpg
    http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k227/loc...r/DSC00832.jpg)

try to be a bit more artistic in those kind of pictures because your close-up shots def have potential
I'm 50-50 on this, you might be able to learn a lot from joining, but I'd be hoping to see some improvement soon

    example:
    you find a nice beach
don't just take a pic, look for the most beautiful piece of scenery around
get on your knees and look for an awesome shell
place the shell in the sand
sit somewhere your shade won't interfer with the picture
take a picture from a low point of view, using the shell as a foreground object
    open photoshop
    enhance colors and light
    ??????
    profit
