This is the first of many weekly reviews. The weekly review will be on anything that consumes time or created to make money. Note that i will be extremely bias, i was almost born in the 80's but i only remember things past the year 2000. Also note that i feel that ignorance is bliss. That being said, my review is basically a reflection of true ignorance. So enjoi.

Alright today im reviewing the animated movie: Akira. I happened to stumble upon this movie on channel 360 somethin. I heard this title before and never really got the chance to watch it until it was at a convenient time and place for me, which is usually on a couch. The first thing i think of when it begins, "this is oldschool." The animation literally had that 80s feel to it, and i dont even know what the hell the 80s feel actually is, it just is. I almost wanted to change the channel 30 minutes in because the story was extremely slow. Luckily some dude ripped off this girls shirt (boobs shown "oh noes!") and punched her in the face. Thats when it all started going uphill. Suddenly the story is moving and ---- is blowing up left and right.

The setting is, like if the shadiest part of the Bronx was combined with tokyo, except there are no black people. The main character is the iconic cool kid badass mother------er (literally) who is the leader of a bike gang. Sort of like a mix between grease and some typical school anime. Without spoiling the story, just remember a lot of ---- blows up, HOW? ok picture this, if superman wasnt physically strong, instead mentally strong, and he could blow buildings up with his mind. The ending IMO was lacking. It leaves you in a state of wtfness. Overall, its a definate watch for any fan of anime just because a guy stops a tank's shell with his mind.

on another note i did do some research, and found out that this movie was a strong influence for anime roots in the west. Why? because the animation was supposedly the greatest thing for that time. which i agree.

If this is a joke, then well done.
